WWC Awarded USSOCOM Training and Exercise Program Contract

Award Sets WWC to Become Largest Defense Contractor Headquartered in Tampa, Florida

WWC Co-Founders

WWC (Wittenberg Weiner Consulting LLC) was awarded the largest contract to a women-owned small business in the history of the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The five-year, $200 million Enterprise-Wide Training and Exercise Program Support (UEWTEP II) contract provides management and subject matter expert support to USSOCOM worldwide. With this award, WWC is set to become the largest defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, based on the latest published numbers in the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

The organization has focused on creating employment opportunities for all members of the military community and was recognized with the 2017 Hiring Our Heroes Small Business Award for Veteran and Military Spouse Employment from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for its efforts. WWC’s owners are fierce advocates of Tampa’s role as a center of gravity for government defense firms.

We are honored that WWC was chosen to provide mission-critical support to USSOCOM and Special Operations Forces around the world with the UEWTEP II award. Supporting UEWTEP II allows WWC to continue doing what we do best - putting good government into practice by supporting federal agencies with innovation and subject matter expertise.

Lauren Weiner, Co-Founder and CEO

“WWC and the defense industry are important economic engines in the Tampa Bay region. The award to WWC of the largest contract to a women-owned small business in the history of the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) highlights how these small businesses spearhead efforts to increase high wage jobs and expand Tampa Bay’s economy,” said U.S Representative Kathy Castor. “Tampa is a community that cares about those who serve and their entire family. So, it is important to note that WWC has focused on creating employment opportunities for all members of the military community and was recognized with the 2017 Hiring Our Heroes Small Business Award for Veteran and Military Spouse Employment by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. It is a great example of what many of us have been championing - finding a fit for military spouses who are forced to move about often and who, despite great experience and education, sometimes have difficulty finding that right slot with existing companies.  This great news for WWC can be an inspiration for other military spouses to continue working to find or create their own paths to success.”

Says Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), “WWC has a proven track record of success and I look forward to its continued success under the skillful leadership of co-founders Lauren Weiner and Donna Huneycutt as it provides integral support to our military and veteran community.”

“We are honored that WWC was chosen to provide mission-critical support to USSOCOM and Special Operations Forces around the world with the UEWTEP II award,” said Lauren Weiner, co-founder and CEO of WWC. “Supporting UEWTEP II allows WWC to continue doing what we do best – putting good government into practice by supporting federal agencies with innovation and subject matter expertise.”

“This is a highlight in WWC’s 13 years of experience as a service provider to the Department of Defense around the globe. We look forward to bringing professional support and innovation to the program that allows our Special Operators’ ability to optimize their mission,” says Donna Huneycutt, co-founder and COO of WWC.
